존 에버렛 밀레이

준남작 존 에버렛 밀레이 경 (영어: John Everett Millais, 1829년 8월 6일 – 1896년 8월 13일)은 라파엘 전파를 창립한 영국의 화가이자 삽화가이다.[1] 밀레이는 로열 아카데미를 11살에 들어간 천재 신동이었다. 라파엘 전파는 밀레이의 친가, 런던 고워 가 83번지 (현재 7번지)에서 창설되었다. 밀레이는 라파엘 전파 양식의 가장 유명한 대가로, 그의 1850년 작품 《부모 집에 있는 그리스도》(Christ in the House of His Parents)는 당시 많은 논란을 낳았고 1852년에 제작한 《오필리아》는 라파엘 전파의 전형적인 그림 양식을 보여준다.
