Hi, Teemeah. The answer for what you asked is that, basically, Doopedia is an encyclopedia that is written by professional editors with authority on a topic. However, there is some articles that are editted by general editors whoever signed up the website, and this is because Doopedia has recently added an user-participatable feature called "encyclopedia participation"(참여백과). So, if you want to refer a article with credibiity, you'd better check whether the article is marked with the "참여백과" next to the title, which means a general user wrote it. (also, there is editor's information below the title, which is not shown on the authoratative articles.)

As you know, 서울시지명위원회 once had decided to use the name "잠실새내". But that was just a decision; Seoul have not implemented to use the new name. So, the old name "신천" is used until now. — 2147483647 2016년 2월 7일 (일) 09:08 (KST)

The articles I read (Hankyoreh, Yonhap News) use past tense "지하철 2호선 ‘신천역’의 이름이 ‘잠실새내역’으로 바뀌었습니다" Of course I am not in Seoul so I don't know if the name plates have already been changed but these sources all talk about this matter in past tense, not in future tense. - I found some articles (Chosun, Yonhap) -- both of them say "New name will be used in about a month later". According to those, that decision should have been applied in November or December 2015. But even now in Seoul Metro (SMRT, Korail etc.) website 'station 217' is called '신천' not '잠실새내'. (I cannot find the reason why it was not implemented) Thus I will question Seoul Government why 잠실새내 is still 신천. — 2147483647 2016년 2월 8일 (월) 08:00 (KST)
